We sit down and chat with fellow Canadian Kristin Kreuk about the upcoming, new season of hit TV show Beauty and the Beast.
Beauty and the Beast follows Catherine Chandler (Kristin Kreuk), a detective at the NYPD. Years prior, she witnessed her mothers murder and was saved by her mothers killers by a supposed beast. Nine years in, Catherine is still searching for answers, until a new case brings her face to face with Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan), the beast. Her need to learn more about her mothers past brings her closer to Vincent, getting to know who and what he really is. Season 2 picks-off from the events of Season 1’s final episode, continuing to put together the pieces of each character and their relationship with one another.
Kristin Kreuk is a Canadian actress who really needs no introduction. From Vancouver, British Columbia, Kreuk is best known for portraying Lana Lang on hit TV series Smallville as well as Laurel Yeung in the Canadian teen drama Edgemont. She has guest starred in countless productions, including Chuck. Her movie roles include Snow White: The Fairest of Them All starring opposite Miranda Richardson, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and recently, Irvine Welsh’s Ecstasy.
Season 2 of Beauty and the Beast premieres Sunday, October 6 at 8pm ET/5pm PT on Showcase.
